Amsterdam Public Library

The Amsterdam Public Library (Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam, Oosterdok) is the biggest library of the Netherlands.The building has 13 levels and 24.000 m2 filled with books, two theaters, a congress centre, a restaurant, a bar, several exposition spaces and a beautiful children’s department . The library is designed by Jo Coenen Architects (2007) and recently renovated (2017-2019).  It is THE place to meet, educate and exchange knowledge for all Amsterdam residents and visitors. The new wayfindingsystem by studiostaak makes it possible to easily find all destinations: from a popular theatre performance to a single rare book.
