Guarulhos International Airport

Guarulhos International Airport is the primary international airport serving São Paulo. The airport is the busiest in Brazil in terms of transported passengers, aircraft operations, and cargo handled, placing it as the second busiest airport in Latin America by passenger traffic (36,596,326 in 2016) after Mexico City International Airport. We developed a zoning plan to improve and maintain the spatial quality of this multi purpose environment. The plan assures the visual quality and therefore economic value of the airport, by creating dedicated spatial zones for wayfinding, commercial and non-commercial media.
